Course Reserve Request
Course reserves include course materials for undergraduate and graduate classes. We are committed to providing as much textbook and other course content as possible for our students. Due to the pandemic, we are making the following adjustments to our course reserve procedures:
- When an institutional license exists for an ebook version of a textbook we will license it. These licenses typically have some limitations on the number of users so access will vary based on publisher. Please note that not all ebooks allow institutions/libraries to license them. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details on a specific title.
- If no ebook version exists and the library owns the print copy this copy will be available for use in the library but each book will be quarantined for 72 hours after each use. This means that most books will only be available for 2 or 3 students/week.
- Given the added expense of the ebook licenses and the limitations on circulating print copies we will not be buying new print textbooks that we don’t currently own.
Please continue to email your course reserve requests to Sheryl Nichin-Keith.
Please note that the library is not affiliated with the bookstore; asking the library to place an item on course reserve is a separate process from asking the bookstore to stock your course texts.
