Computers

Use your North Park username and password to log in to any of the computers in the library. Guests who want to use computers may ask a librarian to log them in.

MacBook Airs

The library has laptops available for loan. Check one out from the circulation desk with your North Park ID. The lending period is 6 hours and they can be used both in and outside the library building.

Basement Lab

There are 7 iMacs in the lower level lobby with Adobe CC Apps and Geometer SketchPad.

First Floor PCs

There are three PCs in the lobby. These are the only computers available to guest patrons.

Printing and Copying

Printing

Printing from the library's computers uses the campus-wide PaperCut system. You may also add more funds to your account via PaperCut. To print from your own computer, use FollowMe Printing. Guest patrons are not able to print.

Photocopying

There is a color photocopier in the copy room (Brandel 121) and a grayscale copier on the lower level. Photocopies are $0.10/page for grayscale, $0.25/page for color. Scan your North Park ID to pay for copies. Guest patrons are not able to photocopy.

Scanning

Scanning is available via the BL-1 Copy Printer in room 121 as well as the Lower Level Printer. Only NPU students & staff can use the scanning services.

Large Format Printing

An Epson SureColor 8000 is available to North Park faculty, staff, and students on the second floor Media Studio (Brandel 214). It prints high quality images on matte or glossy paper, ideal for posters, photos, and graphic design prints. Printing costs $3/square foot of paper used (see price chart for more details). Schedule an appointment to use the printer.

Media Production Services

The library offers equipment, space, and support for North Parkers creating content for classes, student activities, or their own creative endeavors.

Equipment

iMac Lab

The seven 27" iMacs in the lower level are equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud and LightRoom.

Audio Recording Sound Booth

The Whisper Room SE 2000 sound isolation booth provides a quiet environment for recording audio.

Large Format Printer

Green Screen

Used for visual effects and backgrounds in video production.

Space

The Media Studio (Brandel 008) is a multipurpose space with four-point lighting, interchangeable desks, tables, and seating, and various lighting and audio equipment. Capacity for the space is 35 people. Authorized users can reserve the space.
